Video: How to find an executive recruiter

Updated: Mar 9, 2021

This video is for you if you decided to look for a new executive position but you don't know where to start. We'll talk about how to find executive search firms, and which recruiters/consultants to reach out to.

I'm creating videos for both sides of the interview table (or computer screen). This video is part of a new series: "I'm looking. Now what?" which is inspired by a handful of executive job seekers I've spoken with this year who started to look and were wondering if they were going about it the right way.

If you're looking, you need a plan. Executive jobs aren’t posted most of the time. I’m sure you’ve heard of the hidden job market. Let’s talk about how to find it. With these videos we’re going to get your plan together. You’ll also look good when people find you. We don’t want people searching for you, checking you out on LinkedIn, and then moving on. There’s an art to reaching out to executive recruiters and developing relationships with them. This isn’t about sending your resume out and crossing your fingers, or just putting yourself on the radar. We’re going to talk about how to position yourself so that you’re thought of later. And we’ll make sure that when people find you, they reach out.
